Ibex Medical Analytics, an Israel-based startup founded in 2016 which is developing their own AI-driven computational pathology cancer diagnosis system, recently completed an $11M Series A funding round led by aMoon Fund.

Published in JAMA Pediatrics, the investigation found that children using the new system showed significant improvements in socialization skills.

The round was led by BIP Capital and Atlanta Technology Angels. 

The Providence-St. Joseph Health spinoff's platform allows clinicians to prescribe apps and other digital tools to patients through their normal EHR workflow. 

The companies will provide certain consumers an easy-to-understand report describing their recent tests, and may receive another at little to no cost if recommended by a genetic counselor.

A retrospective analysis included data from more than 5,000 askmyGP users, and suggests that these tools are not one size fits all.

The new platform will help women book appointments, talk to counselors online and message doctors. 

Roughly half of the market will be within the US alone, although China and India are also poised for growth.
