Sydney, Australia-based tech accelerator BlueChilli and Enterprise Singapore, an economic agency under the Singapore Ministry and Trade and Industry, announced that they will partner to launch a Singapore-based health tech accelerator to spur innovation and build startups that address health challenges and opportunities in Southeast Asia.

The startup was also recently awarded funding from EIT Health and Vinnova, the Swedish innovation agency.

A recent study published in the Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that when digital tools were paired with a technique called computerized inhibitory control trainings, participants on average lost a greater percent of their bodyweight than their peers. 

While both approaches reduced participants' lower back pain, the company's exercise therapy app was significantly more effective in a direct comparison.

The German firm will provide pharmaceutical insight in a consortium which aims to accelerate discovery and development of new medicines using clinical AI.
