Scientists from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) have developed a lab-on-a-chip system that can identify the health aspects of a person’s immune system from a drop of their blood, within minutes.

The round was led by European VC firm Atomico. 

Shanghai-based CareVoice, a digital health startup targeting the insurance market, which announced an eight-figure Series A raise totaling roughly $10M at the end of August, today announced the launch of CareVoiceOS in mainland China and Hong Kong, a healthcare operating system that allows insurers to deliver health plans which are more tailored, efficient and compelling to their customers.

The Belgium-based company's app can render heart rhythm irregularity readings in roughly 60 seconds.

Figures show that waiting times for appointments are an average of 26 minutes after logging on to the service.

The new money will help the company expand to the US and cater to more conditions.
